ANIMARÁ: REMEMBER

Sacred Valley, Peru

October 15-23, 2026

If you feel the call,
this is your invitation.

Remember is not about becoming someone new. It is about returning to the truth of who you are beneath the noise, the expectations or the pace that pulls you away from yourself.

We will gather together in the Sacred Valley held by the Apus (sacred mountains), Willkamayu (sacred river) and the deep wisdom of the land. The energy of the lands create a space to deeply connect with ourselves, each other and everything around us. It becomes a space to slow down, soften and listen again to the quiet inner knowing that has always lived within you to create lasting change.

This immersion is designed to be a gentle but profound remembrance of your essence, your rhythm and your connection to spirit and earth. A return to ourselves through presence, reverence and deep inner alignment.

Arrival in Cusco | Gentle Landing

Your journey begins in the historic heart of the Andes.

Guests arrive in Cusco and are welcomed with private transfers, nourishing meals, and time to acclimate to the altitude. We gather for a soft welcome dinner and grounding orientation, allowing the body, breath, and spirit to arrive fully before the immersion begins.

Descent into the Sacred Valley | Rooting Ceremony

In the morning we move slowly through Cusco, honoring the body’s adjustment to the elevation and energy of the Andes.

A gentle walk through the artistic San Blas neighborhood and a visit to the vibrant Chinchero weaving community offer a first glimpse into the culture of the region, where artisans share ancestral textile traditions and natural dye practices passed down through generations as we make our journey into the Sacred Valley.

Upon arrival we open the ceremonial container as we gather around the fire for introductions, intention setting, and the formal opening of our retreat space.

Nature, Water and Earth Connection

We venture into the Andes for a guided excursion in the charming town of Ollantaytambo to a breathtaking and energetically cleansing natural site.

The afternoon invites deep embodiment and release through a traditional Temazcal ceremony in nearby Urubamba. We return to Samadhi for a nourishing dinner and a peaceful evening in the Sacred Valley.

Living Traditions of the Sacred Valley

Our day begins with gentle movement or yoga to awaken the body and bring awareness inward.

Followed by a visit to the vibrant Pisac Market, where Indigenous artisans share their textiles, crafts, and the rich cultural traditions of the Andes.

In the afternoon we walk the ancient lands of Pumahuanca, where the river, forest, and mountains invite us into quiet connection with the spirit of the valley.

The evening is devoted to ceremony preparation, intention setting, and education to ensure a grounded and respectful approach to the sacred medicine.

Wachuma Ceremony | Sacred Medicine Day

This day sits at the heart of the immersion.

Before sunrise, we make our way into the sacred valley of Pumahuanca, where the ceremony will be held in relationship with the mountains, waters, and living spirit of the Andes.

Guided by a local curandero, the ceremony is approached with reverence for the land, the lineage, and the traditions that have carried this medicine through generations.

Wachuma has been honored throughout the Andes for centuries as a path of heart-opening, clarity, and remembrance. Held within the natural beauty and stillness of Pumahuanca, participants are invited into a day of deep presence, reflection, and connection with both the outer landscape and the inner journey.

As the day unfolds, there is space for prayer, contemplation, nature immersion, and gentle guidance from the curandero. We return to the Sacred Valley in the evening for rest, nourishment, and quiet integration.

Integration and Reciprocity with the Land

Following ceremony, we move gently into integration with practices designed to support the nervous system and deepen reflection.

The day includes morning somatic movement, a guided integration circle, and an opportunity to ask questions and receive wisdom from the curandero.

In the afternoon we participate in a reforestation experience as an act of ayni, sacred reciprocity with the land, followed by a pottery or creative arts workshop as a practice of integration.

The evening closes with a sound healing bath for deep grounding and restoration.

Sacred Pilgrimage to Machu Picchu

We journey by train through the Andes to the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the most revered sacred sites in the world.

More than a destination, this day is held as a pilgrimage — an opportunity to walk among ancient stone, connect with the wisdom of the Inca civilization, and reflect on the journey that has unfolded throughout the immersion.

After a full day trek, we return for a nourishing dinner at our home in Samadhi.

Reflection, Embodiment and Closing Ceremony

After our pilgrimage, we move into a day of spacious integration.

The morning begins with gentle movement followed by our “Bringing the Mountain Home” integration workshop, where we explore ways to carry the insights of this journey into daily life.

We will then venture into a hummingbird sanctuary for our final closing Despacho ceremony and coca leaf reading with our curandero. A closing blessing offered in reverence to Pachamama and the lineage that has held this work.

The afternoon offers time for rest, nature walks, and personal reflection before we gather fo for a celebratory dinner honoring the community formed throughout the immersion.

In the evening we close the ceremonial container with a final circle of song, fire, gratitude, and shared words.

Embodied Departure

Our final morning includes gentle movement, breakfast, and heartfelt farewells.

Guests depart feeling grounded, integrated, and deeply connected to themselves, to community, and to the sacred land that held this journey.

Elements of the Immersion

At Animara, we curate a deeply nourishing and soul-enriching journey. Here’s what awaits you:

  • Organic, Locally-Sourced Meals
Thoughtfully prepared by a world class team of chefs, every meal is vibrant, fresh, and full of flavor, nourishing your body with seasonal ingredients from the land. This is nourishment that feels delicious, grounding, and alive.

  • Yoga, Strength & Flow Practices
Daily sessions designed to reconnect you with your body through mindful movement, breath, and intentional strength work. These practices help you cultivate presence, build a deeper relationship with your physical body, and restore balance throughout your system.

  • Despacho Ceremony
A sacred offering to Mother Earth Pachamama, the deep living intelligence that holds all of life. It is a gesture of reciprocity that comes from a place of gratitude, humility and relationship. The despacho becomes a bridge, reminding us that true receiving happens through reciprocity, reverence and a deep connection with the living world.

    Temazcal Sweat Lodge
Guided by a local curandera, this ancestral purification ceremony invites you into release, renewal, and the sensation of being reborn from the womb of the earth.

    Sacred Wachuma Ceremony
Wachuma is the sacred plant teacher of the Andes, known as the medicine of the heart and remembering. It is not approached as an escape but as a prayerful relationship with spirit, the land, and one’s own inner truth.

Wachuma takes you out of your mind and into your heart, allowing what’s essential to come through with clarity, compassion and presence.

Led by a local curandero, we sit with a revered ancestral medicine that has been carried through generations and protected within its lineage. In this way, we arrive in reverence and right relationship with the land, with the sacred Wachuma, and with the people who have devoted themselves to honoring and safeguarding this medicine across time.

  • Machu Pichu
One of the seven wonders of the world and one of the most powerful energy vortexes. Machu Pichu is a site of ancient wisdom and intelligent design, nestled in the Andes and held by the surrounding mountains. We visit with reverence, walking the grounds as a living altar, connecting with the history, the land and the energy of the Inca lineage.

    Cultural Day Trips
We will be site seeing at other local places in the Sacred Valley, such as waterfalls, markets, temples and more. Explore the richness of local traditions, art, and community.

  • Sound Healing
Ancestral sound and vocal practices that work gently through vibration, bringing the body, heart, and spirit back into harmony.

    Breathwork
Gentle yet powerful breathing techniques that regulate your system, clear stagnation, and restore harmony in body and mind.

    Workshops
We empower you with practices, tools, and teachings that support your physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness, so you leave resourced, inspired, and connected to yourself.

  • Integration Circles
These circles offer a warm, grounded container to weave your journey into the body, the heart, and your everyday life. Through reflection, conversation, and gentle guidance, you’re supported in understanding what arose for you, honoring your process, and integrating the teachings in a way that feels steady, embodied, and true.

Who is this immersion for?

Your soul recognizes sacred places, the landscapes where the land, the body, and the spirit finally exhale.

This immersion is for those who feel the quiet pull toward something deeper than rest. A call to step away from the noise of daily life and return to a more essential rhythm.

Held in the Sacred Valley of Peru, this journey unfolds through ceremony, nature, cultural immersion, and intentional integration. Here the land becomes a teacher, ancient traditions offer guidance, and community creates a space where presence and reflection can unfold naturally.

Rather than seeking something outside of yourself, this experience is an invitation to remember what already lives within you. Through time on the land, shared rituals, movement, nourishing meals, and meaningful cultural connection, the nervous system softens, clarity returns, and a deeper sense of alignment begins to emerge.

Guests often leave with a renewed sense of clarity, a deeper relationship with the land and ancestral traditions, and practical ways to carry the insights of this experience into their daily lives. What unfolds here is not something that stays in the mountains, it is something that walks home with you.

    Denali Pontvianne Toledo

    Founder of Animará
Holistic Health Coach, Movement & Performance Coach

Denali is a holistic health coach and movement & performance coach whose work centers on helping people build a strong foundation within themselves. Through functional strength, nervous system regulation, mindful movement, and holistic health practices, she supports others in cultivating a deeper relationship with their bodies and reconnecting with the vitality that already exists within them. Her approach honors the understanding that true wellness is not simply physical, but the integration of mind, body, heart, and spirit.

Alongside her work in health and performance, Denali walks a path deeply rooted in ancestral wisdom, connection to the natural world, and the belief that healing often begins with remembering. Through her relationship with ceremony, the land, and the teachings of nature, she has come to see that some of life's greatest lessons are found not through striving, but through slowing down enough to listen. Her work is guided by a devotion to living with intention, cultivating meaningful community, and helping others reconnect with what feels true and essential.

As the founder of Animará, Denali serves as a bridge between these worlds, bringing together the grounded structure of holistic health and movement with the depth, beauty, and wisdom of ancestral practice. What I believe makes her work unique is her ability to hold both strength and softness at the same time. She reminds us that we can pursue growth while remaining deeply connected to our humanity, and that caring for ourselves can be both practical and sacred.

Throughout this retreat, Denali holds the overarching vision and guides the daily rhythm of the container. Through movement, conversation, reflection, and presence, she helps create a space where guests feel seen, supported, and safe to explore their own journey. More than anything, her intention is to help people return home to themselves, trust their own inner wisdom, and remember that the medicine they seek has often been within them all along.

  • Chelsea Ericksen

    Integration, Connection + Life Coach

Chelsea Ericksen is someone who has a remarkable gift for helping people feel seen, supported, and safe exactly where they are. As a certified life coach and energy worker, her work centers on shadow work, emotional integration, and compassionate self-awareness, guiding others toward a deeper understanding of themselves with honesty, grace, and care. She has a way of meeting people without judgment, creating space for them to explore the parts of themselves that are often overlooked, hidden, or waiting to be reclaimed.

What I appreciate most about Chelsea is her ability to hold both strength and tenderness at the same time. She understands that healing is not about fixing ourselves, but about learning to meet ourselves more fully. Through thoughtful reflection, intuitive guidance, and a deeply grounded presence, she helps others navigate life's transitions, challenges, and inner landscapes with greater clarity, self-trust, and compassion. Her work invites people to soften into who they are while also finding the courage to grow into who they are becoming.

On this retreat, Chelsea serves as both an emotional anchor and an integral part of holding the container. She offers integration support, one-on-one guidance, and the steady presence that helps guests feel cared for throughout their journey. With over a decade of event planning experience, she also tends to the countless details that allow the retreat to unfold with ease and intention, creating a space where participants can fully relax, trust the process, and immerse themselves in the experience.

Whether through meaningful conversation, guided self-inquiry, sound healing, or simply her way of being, Chelsea carries a warmth that reminds people they do not have to walk their path alone. Her presence is calming, authentic, and deeply nurturing. She has a beautiful ability to help others reconnect with their own inner wisdom, trust their hearts, and remember that healing often begins the moment we choose to meet ourselves with love.

  • Maestro Alcides

    Ancestral Wisdom + Ceremony

Maestro Alcides is someone I have so much admiration and deep respect for, not only for his knowledge of Andean traditions, but for the way he lives them. His presence carries a quiet humility, a deep reverence for the land, and a genuine love for people. There is something about being in his presence that immediately invites you to slow down, listen more deeply, and remember what truly matters.

Born and raised in the Andes within the Q’ero tradition, Alcides has spent his life walking in relationship with the wisdom of his ancestors, the teachings of Pachamama, and the sacred mountains that have guided his people for generations. His work is rooted in prayer, reciprocity, and a profound respect for the medicine. What I appreciate most is that he never places himself above the work. He serves as a guide, helping others remember their connection to nature, to themselves, and to something greater than either. His approach is gentle, grounded, and deeply rooted in the understanding that healing happens through relationship with the Earth, with community, and with our own hearts.

Time with Alcides feels less like being taught and more like being invited into a deeper way of seeing and relating to life. Whether sharing ancestral teachings, holding ceremony, or simply sitting together in conversation, he carries a wisdom that is both profound and accessible. His presence reminds us that true spirituality is not found in grand gestures, but in the way we pray, listen, walk, and live each day. There is a sincerity in him that is rare, one that reflects a life devoted to service, gratitude, and honoring the sacredness woven through all things.

His connection to himself, to the land, and to spirit always invites me deeper into my own remembering. Grateful for the beauty, wisdom, and heart he carries and shares so generously with all of us.

  • Fernando

    Yoga, Presence + Connection

Fernando is the founder and steward of Samadhi Sacred Valley, a sanctuary created from a deep devotion to the land, community, and the path of conscious living. Over the years, he has cultivated meaningful relationships throughout the Sacred Valley, creating opportunities for visitors to experience Peru not simply as travelers, but through genuine connection with its people, traditions, and landscapes. His love for this region is evident in everything he does, and his ability to weave together culture, nature, community, and personal growth creates experiences that stay with people long after they return home.

What I appreciate most about Fernando is the way he embodies his teachings. Through yoga, breathwork, movement, and his relationship with nature, he reminds us that healing and wisdom are not things we must seek outside of ourselves, but something we can access when we slow down enough to listen. His approach is grounded, practical, and deeply connected to the rhythms of the natural world, inviting others into a more authentic relationship with their bodies, their breath, and the Earth beneath their feet. He has a gift for helping people feel both supported and empowered, creating space for transformation without ever forcing it.

Fernando carries a quiet wisdom that reflects years of personal practice and dedication. Whether guiding movement, sharing insights around the fire, introducing guests to the people and traditions of the Sacred Valley, or simply holding space within the beauty of Samadhi, he brings a presence that is both calming and inspiring. His teachings encourage a return to simplicity, to remembering that the breath can be a bridge back to ourselves, that the land can be a teacher, and that true connection begins with presence. More than anything, Fernando reminds us that a meaningful life is not built through constant striving, but through cultivating a deeper relationship with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us.

“Experiencing Mexico with Denali and her team was unlike anything I’ve ever known, you truly can’t put a price on it. I came with my two daughters and two close friends, and from beginning to end the entire retreat was crafted with so much intention, care, and heart. We were guided into experiences I never would’ve been able to access on my own, each one unique, meaningful, and deeply memorable.

And the food… I still think about it. Every meal from Chef Mavi and her team was nourishing, creative, and made with so much love that it became part of the healing itself. From the ceremonies and workshops to the playful activities, the hikes, the town, and the incredible teachers Denali brought into the space, every moment felt life-changing.

I would join any retreat she creates again in a heartbeat. Words honestly fall short of how beautiful and transformative this experience was for me. This is unlike any other retreat I’ve ever been a part of. ”

Koni Wray

A woman in a pink bikini standing on a sandy beach with the ocean waves in the background, smiling at the camera.

“Being part of Denali’s first retreat genuinely changed me. I arrived open and receptive, and left with a deeper connection to my spiritual self and a completely renewed perspective. Experiencing this retreat through authentic teachers who honor indigenous traditions was priceless, especially in a world where profit often outweighs integrity. It was my first time sitting in cacao ceremony, temazcal, and plant medicine, and each facilitator left a profound impact.

Every detail, from the food and activities to the gifts and the intentional flow, was thoughtfully crafted. What I love most is that the transformation didn’t end when I came home. Because Denali continues to bring teachers and create community events in Utah, I’ve been able to stay connected, keep learning, and share these practices with my family. My friend and I still look back on the retreat with so much gratitude. It truly felt like being part of something rare and special.”
