Group of people standing on a sandy beach, smiling, with some raising their arms; wearing swimsuits and cover-ups, with lush green trees and cloudy sky in the background.

We’ll gather in Sayulita on Mexico’s Pacific coast, held by ocean, jungle, and the living traditions of the Sierra Madre.

Over seven days, you’ll move through an immersive journey centered on connection, wellness, and culture. You will be guided through practices that support your body, heart, and nervous system, rooted in holistic health, ceremony, and ancestral wisdom.

Renewal is an invitation to reconnect with yourself, to listen, soften, and return to what feels true.

What You’ll Experience

At Animara, we curate a deeply nourishing and soul-enriching journey. Here’s what awaits you:

    Temazcal Sweat Lodge
Guided by a local curandera, this ancestral purification ceremony invites you into release, renewal, and the sensation of being reborn from the womb of the earth.

Reconnect with the Earth through guided immersion in natural landscapes.

    Cultural Day Trips
Explore the richness of local traditions, art, and community.

  • Sound & Voice Healing
Ancestral sound and vocal practices that work gently through vibration, bringing the body, heart, and spirit back into harmony.

Her approach to holistic health is rooted in the integration of mind, body, heart, and spirit, supporting the whole human through practices that ground, strengthen, and reconnect you to your own vitality.

As the creator of Animará, Denali serves as the bridge between these two worlds, bringing together the grounded structure of movement and holistic health with the softness, depth, and spirit of ancestral practice.

On this retreat, she holds the overarching vision and guides the daily rhythm of the container. Her presence is grounding, powerful, and deeply intuitive. She carries the songs, the prayers, and the ceremonial structures that create a safe and transformative space for healing.

She will also be our steady spiritual anchor during the week and be present for integrations and teachings, ensuring that every guest feels guided, protected, and supported as they move through their inner work. Her guidance is both fierce and tender, inviting release, clarity, and a return to balance. Through her leadership, wisdom and teachings, guests experience the medicine of the land, the lineage, and the elements in an embodied, grounded, and deeply respectful way. Chelsea Ericksen is a certified life coach and energy worker specializing in shadow work, emotional integration, and compassionate self-awareness. She creates transformative, heart-centered spaces that guide guests into deeper honesty with themselves, helping them illuminate subconscious patterns and return to clarity, grounding, and inner strength.

On this retreat, Chelsea serves as both an emotional anchor and the logistical heartbeat that keeps the container flowing with ease. She supports guests throughout their journey, offering grounded presence, integration guidance, and one-on-one check-ins whenever deeper support is needed to make sure everyone has an individual experience within the container. With over 10 years of event planning experience, Chelsea ensures that every part of the retreat runs smoothly: coordinating timing, holding structure, and tending to the little details that allow participants to fully drop in and feel held.

Blending intuitive teaching, guided self-inquiry, and sound-bath healing, Chelsea supports participants in integrating the parts of themselves they’ve long avoided or outgrown. Her approach is gentle, authentic, and rooted in the belief that true transformation happens when we courageously face our inner world and choose ourselves with love.

“Experiencing Mexico with Denali and her team was unlike anything I’ve ever known, you truly can’t put a price on it. I came with my two daughters and two close friends, and from beginning to end the entire retreat was crafted with so much intention, care, and heart. We were guided into experiences I never would’ve been able to access on my own, each one unique, meaningful, and deeply memorable.

And the food… I still think about it. Every meal from Chef Mavi and her team was nourishing, creative, and made with so much love that it became part of the healing itself. From the ceremonies and workshops to the playful activities, the hikes, the town, and the incredible teachers Denali brought into the space, every moment felt life-changing.

I would join any retreat she creates again in a heartbeat. Words honestly fall short of how beautiful and transformative this experience was for me. This is unlike any other retreat I’ve ever been a part of. ”

Koni Wray

A woman in a pink bikini standing on a sandy beach with the ocean waves in the background, smiling at the camera.

“Being part of Denali’s first retreat genuinely changed me. I arrived open and receptive, and left with a deeper connection to my spiritual self and a completely renewed perspective. Experiencing Mexico through authentic teachers who honor indigenous traditions was priceless, especially in a world where profit often outweighs integrity. It was my first time sitting in cacao ceremony, temazcal, and plant medicine, and each facilitator left a profound impact.

Every detail, from the food and activities to the gifts and the intentional flow, was thoughtfully crafted. What I love most is that the transformation didn’t end when I came home. Because Denali continues to bring teachers and create community events in Utah, I’ve been able to stay connected, keep learning, and share these practices with my family. My friend and I still look back on the retreat with so much gratitude. It truly felt like being part of something rare and special.”
